Membership Benefits
Becoming a member of the Ballston Virginia Square Partnership is a sure way to become part of the community. Whether you're a resident, business or developer, there are many reasons to join:
- Stay informed: Receive your personal copy of the Buzz (a quarterly publication filled with community news including Arlington County initiatives, new businesses and development projects, arts and cultural events, restaurant reviews and more) in the mail four times a year and the monthly e-newsletter sent directly to your inbox. You also receive periodic e-mails with special offers and invitations to meetings and programs designed to educate and keep you informed.
- Help shape the community: For more than 20 years, the Partnership has been an influential force in shaping the development of Ballston and Virginia Square. It works closely with Arlington County and the private sector in promoting “smart growth” strategies for real estate and community development. It organizes and participates in planning sessions for issues that are important to the Ballston and Virginia Square communities such as retail, emergency preparedness, transportation, housing and many others. Members are welcome to join a committee and help carry out the work of the Partnership.
- Get connected: Get to know others with an interest in the Ballston – Virginia Square area: retailers, corporate executives, real estate brokers, community activists and residents. Members receive advance notices of community events and special discounts. Your membership also provides both formal and informal access to County, state and U.S. government officials.
- Marketing and Advertising: Your membership opens doors to the businesses and customers you would like to reach in Ballston and Virginia Square. We are happy to offer the following services free-of-charge to our members.
- Display your marketing materials in our booth at both the Farmers Market and Arts and Crafts Market.
- Promote your special offers and events via our monthly e-newsletters and periodic e-mail blasts.
- List your business in the Current Members and Shopping/Dining/Services/Arts&Entertainment sections of our Web site. All listings link to your own Web site.
- Member News section of our Web site publicizes news about members.
