There is a strong tradition of Buddhist teachings in China and although the country has experienced some religious strife during its volatile years of existing as a communist country, many visitors who have come to the country on a China visa have become interested in learning more about this ancient religion. Interestingly, an important part of Buddhism involves the recognition of four sacred mountains around China. These mountains are revered by Chinese Buddhists and represent a place for pilgrimage. The addition of tourist dollars into the country has allowed for some revival of these cultural treasures.
