As a substance that has graced the front entryways of countless beautiful homes, iron doors and other wrought iron building materials have been a beautiful part of creative home design for centuries. Humans have been working with iron for centuries although ancient examples of the art are rare. Starting in the Bronze Age, humans worked with iron but it wouldn't become a mainstream part of society until around 3000 BC. Ironworking was also very popular in the 11th century with the Celtic society of people in Europe creating many artistic pieces during the height of their civilization in the Middle Ages.
